Man. Utd 4 vs 0 Crystal Palace : Player ratings
Juan Mata and Marcus Rashford shines as Manchester united continue their excellent form by hitting Crystal palace on the four. Below are analysis of how the players performed.
David de Gea
Made a routine stop at 1-0. Still strangely reluctant to come off his line at times but kept his sixth clean sheet in seven league games. 6/10
Antonio Valencia
The crowd urged him to 'Shooooot' whenever he got the ball in the final third and he often obliged. Rarely influenced the attack. 6/10
Chris Smalling
Got caught in awkward situations with Bakary Sako which gave Palace hope. Phil Jones is more secure with Eric Bailly next to him. 6/10
Phil Jones
His secure form continued with another no-nonsense performance. Covered well on the handful of occasions Palace threatened to breach United. 7/10
Ashley Young
Claimed an assist from the flank for the third week running. Tested frequently by Andros Townsend but coped well at both ends. 7/10
Marouane Fellaini
Scored his third and fourth goals of the season to increase his chances of starting at Anfield. Hardly ran the game but killed off Palace's lingering hope. 8/10
Nemanja Matic
A relatively solid afternoon from the Serb. Shielded the defence with discipline but occasionally careless with his passing. 6/10
Juan Mata
Scored his first of the season early on and enhanced the United attack with his incision and movement. 7/10
Marcus Rashford
Almost immediately justified his recall by destroying Joel Ward to assist Mata's opener. A threat throughout, made two goals and hit the post. 8/10
Henrikh Mkhitaryan
The low tempo of the game was not conducive to his strengths and he had a quieter game than in recent outings. 6/10
Romelu Lukaku
Was having his most harmless game for United, his sloppiness irked Mourinho and Lukaku missed a sitter in the second-half. Then he scored to make it 11 in 10 games. 6/10
Subs
Jesse Lingard
Created a great chance for Lukaku. 6/10
Anthony Martial
Another crowdpleasing cameo. Should have scored. 6/10
