Elderly Road sweepers in Lagos complain unpaid salaries

Road sweepers, some elderly women up to 70 years have appealed to the Lagos state government to come to their aid and pay their salaries. This was made known when the women staged a protest in Lagos state for the non-payment of their salaries for 5 months. The women complained that they were contracted by a company called Danufol limited, a contractor engaged by Lagos metropolitan area transport authority(lamata), for them to be sweeping bus shelters along Ikorodu road - Tafewa Balewa square, but their monthly salaries if 15,000 naira have not been paid since march this year.
